Industry and air traffic control

In many businesses, birds cause damage to machinery, goods, and technical equipment through their droppings. Birds are a particular nuisance in areas such as warehouses, roof structures, and cable bridges, which offer hiding places. When pigeons nest in such areas, conventional mechanical deterrents are often ineffective.

We offer a sustainable solution to these problems through combined measures. The Ornigard sound pressure system keeps the areas to be protected free of birds, while nesting sites and smaller affected areas are blocked with Bird Free Gel or electric currents. For protection against gulls and crows, we recommend BirdAlert, also for explosion-proof areas.

Typical applications for a combined solution:
  •     Production areas

  •     Storage areas

  •     Cable bridges

  •     Machines of all kinds

  •     Raw materials and semi-finished goods

  •     pre-packaged goods

  •     Loading areas

  •     Container storage

  •     fire escape stairs

  •     Columns and silos

  •     Crane systems

Bird protection

To effectively protect facades and buildings from pigeons, a combined solution is often used. This includes Ornigard sound pressure devices, which are mounted on roof edges and gutters, together with Bird Free to create an effective barrier against pigeons.

EX areas

Smaller setbacks and niches, which are related to the Ornigard

Areas that cannot be adequately protected by sound pressure devices are additionally treated with Bird Free Gel. For the protection of ledges and other projections on the facade, virtually invisible electrical systems are used. This ensures discreet yet effective protection of the entire facade against pigeon landing.

Free storage

The Ornigard devices are installed below the eaves or on the parapet and sweep the facade using sound pressure. Available in various RAL colors, these sound pressure devices are barely noticeable on buildings due to their small size (11 cm edge length). The generated sound pressure is completely harmless and inaudible to humans and animals.

Roof surfaces

To solve problems with birds on roofs, various effective measures are used. These include suitable electric deterrent systems, bird-repelling gel, lasers, or the acoustic system BirdAlert. These measures complement each other and enhance the deterrent effect.

Halls

Flat roofs are ideal breeding grounds for various bird species, offering elevated protection from natural predators such as foxes and martens. In recent years, the number of gull nests on roofs has increased significantly. When wind and weather protection are present, along with heat loss, the risk of an infestation rises considerably.

Roof edges

Pigeons and crows prefer to perch on roof edges. They like to settle on gutters, in the bends of downpipes, or in niches. Their droppings soil stored goods, vehicles, and sidewalks. This not only leads to hygiene problems but also frequently causes additional damage and cleaning costs. We can protect all these problem areas. Contact us to learn more.
