The Laatzen Arcades had a serious pigeon problem in many areas. Despite frequent cleaning, the unsanitary conditions were a nuisance for visitors, tenants, and landlords.
The pigeons slept and nested on the windowsills and even in and on the neon signs of the shops. They were also regularly fed, which further exacerbated their association with the location.
We implemented various measures, some in combination: The robust and discreet OTES-Fix-S electrical system was installed along all the wall edges of the building complex. This system reliably prevents birds from landing on the parapets.
Bird Free was used in smaller areas. These measures have significantly reduced the pigeon infestation. Regular inspections confirm this.
