The pigeon infestation on the sandstone facades of the regional court had reached a point where it was no longer manageable as a hygiene problem.
Frequent cleaning of the dirt would damage the stone; spikes and nets were not desired from a monument perspective.

In order to comply with the requirements of the monument protection authorities, the removal of the pigeon droppings was carried out by hand with the utmost care in order to protect the sensitive sandstone.

The pigeons never returned from the Bird Free bowls.
